i love to cook and especially to bake but i’ve always had this ridiculous fear of baking bread. something about yeast just freaks me out. but, i decided to conquer my fear head-on and bake bread this weekend. check it out!

these are baked Soufganiyot (soof-GHAHN-ee-yote), Israeli jelly-filled donuts. they turned out okay but were a little too dense. i’m totally going to try making them again and using more yeast, hopefully that will help :)

this was my first attempt at french bread… it was actually pretty good!
