i am so excited for the summit but almost just as excited for when life returns to “normal” and i can cook and bake all the time again. today i made cookie dough and decided to try letting it sit in the fridge for 24 hours before baking it (my sister shared an article with me that said the best thing to do to get the greatest tasting cookies is to let them sit in the fridge for 36 hours, but i don’t have that much time).

well, the dough sat for a few hours and then it just seemed like it had to be tested. so shelly and i sat on the couch and enjoyed a good wholesome dinner of cookie dough, raw cookie dough (mind you this was after we had already had dairy queen blizzards for our appetizer). yum!

i think we might be getting too old for this? nah, that was a stupid thought.
